Swaraj

In 1965, the foundation of the Swaraj tractor was laid at the Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute. Started manufacturing of Swaraj Tractor by Punjab Tractor Limited.In the year 1971, the first plant of Swaraj Tractor was established in Mohali and the first commercial tractor Swaraj 724 was launched in the year 1974. 1980 First Combined Harvester launched. 1995 Swaraj’s second plant was built in Chhaparchery. 2002 Swaraj made a record by selling 5 lakh tractors so far. 2007 Mahindra & Mahindra acquired Swaraj Tractors. 2012 Became the second tractor company in the world to win the prestigious Deming Prize.

(1965 में सेंट्रल मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट में स्वराज ट्रैक्टर की नींव रखी गई थी। पंजाब ट्रैक्टर लिमिटेड द्वारा स्वराज ट्रैक्टर का निर्माण शुरू किया।
